Pennsylvania Movers & State Information

You made the right decision when you decided to live in Pennsylvania. But before you choose any movers from 123 Movers, make sure you read below to see why Pennsylvania has what you need to enjoy your new home.

Pennsylvania, the “Keystone” state, is one of the original 13 colonies. It got this nickname because it was a central location in colonial times. It also had an economy similar to both the Northern and Southern colonies. The biggest city in Pennsylvania is Philadelphia. This city is not only big in modern times, but it also had a major role during colonial and post revolutionary times.

Philadelphia was once the capital of the United States. As the capital, Philadelphia’s Independence Hall is where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed. These two documents are the two most important documents in U.S. history and were both brought to life in Philadelphia.

Some notable Philadelphian residents were Betsy Ross and Benjamin Franklin. Betsy Ross is famous for designing the first U.S. flag. Her house is preserved in downtown Philadelphia where you can take a tour for a small donation. Benjamin Franklin of course is the father of electricity. With his famous kite and key experiment he was able to conduct electricity from lighting.

Aside from the historical aspect, Philadelphia also has other attractions that’ll keep anyone occupied: Philadelphia is known for delicious food. There are dozens of restaurants and bars one can take part in. Steven Starr, world famous restaurateur, has 12 top-notch restaurants in downtown Philadelphia. If you’re looking for a cheaper meal, you can always take part in delicious pizza shops or spectacular cheese steak joints. There's also museums, theaters, malls, sports, concerts, and an endless list of things to keep you busy.

Pennsylvania is obviously filled with decades of history, entertainment, cuisine, and culture. You too can be part of it all if you decide to live in Pennsylvania.
