Situated just across the Arlington Memorial Bridge from Washington, D.C., Arlington is one of the nation’s most densely populated areas. With more than 200,000 residents and a land area of approximately 26 square miles, Arlington features nearly 8,000 people per square mile.

Arlington is home to the Pentagon, Air Force Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery. The Arlington landscape features more than 1,100 acres of parkland and over 95 miles of trails and greenways suitable for hiking and biking, including the Mount Vernon Trail, which stretches for more than 18 miles along the George Washington Memorial Parkway and west bank of the Potomac River.
Arlington hosts a number of festivals and special events each year, including “A Taste of Arlington,” held each May, and the “Columbia Pike Blues Fest,” a popular street festival held in June. The Arlington Farmers Market is an annual event that features fresh produce, protein, dairy, eggs, and more from June to October at the Arlington Center.
