| | When I decided to relocate from Minnesota to Colorado I wanted to hire professional movers. About five weeks before the move I had two moving companies look-over my possessions to be moved and offer quotes. Although World Wide Van Lines was somewhat higher in price, I went with them for a variety of reasons, and it turned out to be a good choice. Before the move I made sure I packed everything so items were not rattling around and boxes would not mash down. Items that were hard to box-up got wrapped in shrink wrap. (Some items the mover will wrap, like furniture). Also, I confirmed the move date about two weeks ahead of time, just to make sure the mover remembered me! A representative from World Wide Van Lines called the day before the move with a 2-day window when they would arrive on moving day. They arrived on time the next day with a full-sized moving truck (there were other loads on the truck). They first double-checked which items would be moved, which should not be loaded. Next, they went through and numbered every item with a small sticker. It took just under 4 hours to load everything, which included disassembling a queen-sized bed and boxing up both the mattress and box spring. The movers pointed out how some items were already scratched and/or dented before they touched them. If you move in winter (like I did) be aware that the doors will be propped and it'll be very cold in the house. My dog was freezing and I had to move him to a room far from the doors. Also, it'll help to have all the boxes labeled for which room they will go to in the new location. In the end the move-out went well. The movers and driver were reasonably courteous and careful about moving everything,. I gave the driver very specific directions to my new place. I was given a 3-day window for delivery of the goods. The driver called the morning of the first possible day and said: ''I'll be there in 15 minutes''. Yikes! I had to run to the bank and get a Cashiers check for payment. In the meantime the driver and two movers scoped out how to move my stuff up to the second floor of an apartment building. I got lucky in that the road in front of my apartment was big enough to accommodate a full-sized rig. If it was too narrow they would have off- loaded everything onto a smaller truck and charged over $500 more! Once everything was moved-in they reassembled the bed and helped move a few items into the specific rooms where I wanted them. Overall the movers were very professional. I was very happy with the service provided by World Wide Van Lines. Only one minor item was broken (a $10 clock), they picked-up and delivered on time, and I was called to verify that everything was going as planned. In hindsight I may have been able to find a lower-priced mover, but the good service and professionalism outweighed pinching pennies. Based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to use World Wide Van Lines again |

| First of all, we were quoted by around 20 moving
companies and it is very hard
to determine which are reputable and honest. We did not know of this website
so we went with the company with the best Better Business Bureau rating. Our
sales rep Vidya was extremely polite, professional, and really made me feel at
ease. We set up a pick up date for January 11th and I was estimated at 20,419
lbs. plus we had a lot of packing we paid for. The crew showed up at 2:00 pm
(they told us they would be there between 9AM and 12PM so they arrived a little
late but called at 11 and told us they were running behind).
When they got to
our house there was 4 men and they were very pleasant to speak with and got
to working as soon as they arrived and introduced themselves. They took extreme
care of our items and while 2 men packed the other 2 loaded. After all was
said and done we were 1,000 lbs. under the estimated weight and they wound
up packing 22 boxes less than planned so our C.O.D price went down considerably.
We recieved our items on January 10th first thing in the morning and everything
arrived in the same condition and they offloaded quickly and efficiently. Needless
to say everything turned out wonderful and we WILL be recommending them to
others |

| | Quote ID : | 1479856 | | Move Origin : | Delray Beach, FL | | Move Destination : | Lenox, MA | | Initial Estimate : | $1,385.00 | | Final Cost : | $1,725.00 |
| | I contracted with World Wide via Steven. I was assured that my items would meet me in Lenox by the 5th and no later than the 6th. I was subcontracted out to a night mare called USA Relocation and transfer inc. alais Bobby Motwani. Not only was this guy given an F by the BBB he has practices that are not above board. He is what the horror stories about moving is about. He sent an used Peniske truck 26 foot to pick up my items and move them. The guys showed up not knowing anything about my move and a day late on the pick up. They open their truck to my horror was items that even good will would reject. I had told them I needed in cubic feet a truck that was 7.5 by 16 feet. They assured me they would get it in. I had not wrapped my card table for a reason as it was a fragile piece and when they picked it up it broke I tried to remove the leg so they would go ahead and get it up there....where we would get it repaired. they wouldnt take it. They got the stuff in and the Driver and co driver Gary and Luis were very nice but then they called their boss Bobby and then it happen. He started to try and extort me and treaten . I jump back and called world wide van lines and told them yes I know it was over weight and told them it would be and the dispatcher on duty told me not to worry. I personally used an UPS rated scale and weighed every box and item. I was assured by Gary the stuff would be on my door step in Lenox by the 5th here it is the 6th and was told that it wouldnt be here till next week and I have to fly back to Florida as this isnt my main home. I have contacted Bobby and he wont answer his phone and evades all issues .. I contacted Darryl and he was nice but jumps around the issue. I asked them why they used such a man when the internet is full of horror stories about this man. I contacted the Federal Department of Transportation and this man wasnt listed as an intertate carrier and found out from DOT he is being investigated for his practices by the state of Florida. So say what you will this company isnt what it says it is and beware. They are a broker service not a true van line. |

| | Quote ID : | 847958428 | | Move Origin : | Springfield, MO | | Move Destination : | Pearland, TX | | Initial Estimate : | $1,450.00 | | Final Cost : | $2,200.00 |
| | WorldWide Van Lines (WWVL) has contract with Ken/ (real name Darileera) Dependable moving, Norcross, Georgia as a small moving companies and customer service of both place is worse and unreasonable at best. They try to rip off your money and give worse customer service possible in USA. Please see example below. We moved our stuff with Ken/ Dependable moving (Georgia). Ken mentioned that go ahead and sign the contract, we'll deliver your stuff on date***. Instead of that our stuff arrived late and we had to post pone and cancel flight tkts of my wife/daughter/ parents. Anyway, worse experience begins now with cheating about how much our stuff weigh. I moved 4 time in last 4 year so we have some idea what we have and what we don't. We were suppose to pay 900 $ for 4500 lb wt of my move. If it is less WWVL will pay me back and if it is more then I will pay them upfront. On day of delivery ~ 8:15am I was called by WWVL about extra wt (280 lbs more) of our stuff and I was asked to pay $998 (900 + 98) instead of $ 900. I was told that total wt of truck was 22780 lbs (empty wt 18000 lbs + my stuff 4780 lbs) and our stuff weighed 4780 lbs so we have to pay difference of 280 lbs excess wt, which was 98 $. Somehow we thought lets just weigh truck before unloading and after unloading our stuff and make it clear. When my wife went to weight station to weigh truck, it was only 20680 lbs (2100 lbs less then what they told me) so if empty truck wt is 18000 lbs then our stuff wt is only 2680 lbs and much less then 4500 lbs so we should not even pay 900 $ but pay less then 900 $. Now Ken/ Dependable movers changes and calls us and says empty truck wt is 14100 lbs so I have to pay for 2180 lbs (6680 lbs – 4500 lbs) $ 780 extra on $ 900. My wife was with kids and my parents were recent immigrants, I was in different location. It did not make sense how Ken was calculating his money. Empty truck wt changed from 18000 to 14000 lbs in less then one day. Anyways we were threaten by Ken and drivers that unless we pay them upfront 1680 $ ($1500 in money order and $ 180 cash) they would not unload stuff at that time. They even left our home after emptying few boxes off the truck. I tried to explain to Ken it did not work out and I wasted my time. I was helpless since I was still in Springfield, MO and my wife, 1 yr baby, my senior citizen parents were in **city with movers. Ken agreed that lets wt truck after they unload our stuff and they will pay me the difference or charge me appropriately according to wt. We called WWVL multiple times to clarify this issue but WWVL Haley/ or Haleigh comes on phone and then put us on hold without listening what we have to say. WWVL never called us back despite multiple msg. As WWVL never came on phone, we had no choice but pay to Ken 1680 $ ($1500 in money order and $ 180 cash) and get wt of empty truck done by our self. Even we paid for truck wt, that is not norm. We gave them $ 1500- money order and 180 cash. As per Ken, driver will give us back our cash and money order if empty truck wt shows our total wt 30 mins and nor they pick up the phone or nor they called my wife. Now it is > 2 months and my money is still with those Dependable cheaters. WWVL need to have customer service after signing contract as well, it is not that once we provide money they never return call, including ext 421 haley, 401 steve and also customer service dept. They put you on hold and then transfer you to ext where you can only leave msg. No one will do business if they know what kind of service WWVL and their subcontractors provides. |

| | Chase was my agent and he was exceptional in giving me a quote and information in what i needed. I had to move unexpectedly and it worked out for me because of the promptness of their service and their professionalism. Chase recommended for me to add extra weight and cushioning and when I got to Jacksonville I ended up paying less than the original quote! |

| | I can only say if I ever have to move again this would be the company I would choose over and over again. They came on the second day of the window and were there early morning. They called me with all information two days before the move as I was told by my sales rep. Both World Wide and the driver called me, made me very comfortable. Yes my price was higher but at the last minute we wanted to take the washer and dryer. We asked the crew (James) if he had room for these items. He looked at his work sheet and it showed ample space. They loaded everything very professionally and treated us with all respect. The job that I am leaving has there information and plans on using them in the future. Use this company if you want peace of mind. |

| | I had a good experience with World Wide Van Lines. They arrived and delivered on time. My price increased by $150. After I finished packing, I realized I had more boxes. I was expecting to be a little overweight. I will be moving to Texas in February and will be using World Wide Van Lines services again. |

| | This is truly a nightmare moving company and I just wish I read some of these
reviews prior to reserving with them. Just like these other postings I was late
being picked up by 4 days and it took them 17 days to deliver. They also over
charged me by $1,100 THE WORST COMPANY |
