Local moves - Two Guys and a Truck provides local moving and packing services
at an hourly rate, plus a trip and fuel surcharge. Please call or email us
for our current hourly rates. Our rates may vary based on the date and time
that you need to move. You can generally save money by moving mid-week, mid-month
when demand for our services is lower.
The time starts when the movers arrive at your loading location and continues
until the work is completed at your final destination, and includes the time
spent traveling between your various locations. The trip charge is added to
account for the time spent getting out to you and back home again. We generally
say that it takes one to one-and-an-half hours of moving time per fully furnished
room. Remember that it may take a little longer if you live in a location with
an elevator, multiple flights of stairs, or if there is a long walk from where
the truck can park to your front door.
Wardrobe cartons are available for your use on the day of the move for a rental
charge of $7.50. A wardrobe box is basically a portable closet. Your clothes
are hung in the box from a metal bar. Each box holds 18" - 24" of
clothes hanging on a bar in your closet, depending on the type of clothing.
We carry a full line of packing supplies and have FREE delivery for all orders
over $100.
Unlike most local movers, we include Actual Cash Value Liability Coverage
up to $5,000 with a $500 deductible for your property at no additional charge.
Other valuations and deductibles are available for a premium. Most companies
will only provide a basic depreciable type of coverage based on $ .60 cents
per pound, per article where Two Guys' coverage pays $3.50 per pound, per article.
We require a security deposit to secure the date and time of your move. For
your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Afternoon Jobs
As a service to our customers, we schedule moving jobs in the afternoon for
those who either cannot move in the morning or those who need to move on
days when we have previously scheduled jobs in the morning.
If we book your order for an afternoon slot, we literally will arrive AFTER
noon. Our arrival time depends on how the morning job prior to yours went and
if that person gave us an accurate assessment of the work that was to be done.
We schedule our trucks so that we can arrive at your jobsite as early in the
day as possible. We give you an estimated time of arrival. We stay in touch
with you on the moving day. Important: If you have transferred or terminated
your phone service, make sure to provide us with mobile numbers so that we
can reach you at both your loading and unloading locations. We always work
until we are finished or until you want us to leave, whichever comes first.
We realize that when you schedule our service, you are depending on us to
be there and take care of your move. Afternoon moves generally involve more
variables, so our arrival time is less predictable. Please keep this in mind
when you schedule an afternoon job. We ask for your patience.

around noon on moving day, so that we can contact your crew and give you an
idea of the crew's arrival time.
