Insurance
STANDARD COVERAGE
Our moves are automatically covered $0.60 per pound per article. This amount
will typically cover the costs to repair damaged items, but not replace them.
Some items you have may not be adequately covered under this option. The
Moving Guys have a less than 1% damage claim rate, however, it is recommended that
insurance be purchased to cover valuable or delicate items.
FULL COVERAGE
If you would like to purchase full coverage on any items, we recommend contacting
Baker International Insurance at (800) 356-0093. Baker International’s
sales staff will quote you a price over the phone that covers 100% of the
replacement value for all items. This is an independent agency not affiliated
with The Moving Guys.
HOME OWNER’S INSURANCE
Your current homeowners insurance may already provide coverage for your move.
Check your insurance policy to see if this coverage is provided to you.*Please
notify us at least 48 hours before the move begins if you would like to purchase
full coverage.

FREE MOVE PROGRAM PRICING In order to continue saving your
management company money, the following is our set pricing for this concession:
* $65 per hour with a two-hour minimum & one time $20 trip/gas fee for
1st & 2nd floor
* $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum & one time $20 trip/gas fee for
all 3rd floor
NOTE: Most customers moving in the Austin Metro area tend to choose an hourly
rate. It is the easiest and most convenient method of pricing. It is based
person moving
on time and there is no set inventory. The time begins when the movers pick
up the first item and ends when the movers drop off the last item.
Therefore, if your management company has decided to contribute $300.00 towards
your tenants move, they will have five hours worth of pre-paid moving expense
with two men or nearly four hours with three men. If the extent of the move
exceeds your company’s contributions, the customer will be responsible
for the remaining balance on the day of the move.
* 10% OFF all flat rates (7 days a week)
NOTE: Flat rates are typically set for those customers moving from more than
30 miles radius of your property. It is not based on time, but on the customer’s
inventory. This way, if there is traffic or construction in route, we are not
wasting your management company’s money. The customer may provide a list
of items they require to be moved up until the day before their move is scheduled,
to ensure accuracy. This list may be provided to our office by phone, by faxing
the inventory sheet we will provide or an on-site estimate can be scheduled
at no additional charge.
The FREE MOVE PROGRAM is a great concession to attract new tenants and is
a proven special that will help boost your property’s occupancy rate.
