I used this company about a year ago. On the phone they told me the total would come to around $600. But in reality they charged me with things that were not mentioned on the phone and told me regulations that weren't told and I ended up paying about $1300 in total. They charged me more than twice the price they mentioned and did not give me back my two boxes. I called them many times over the months and they always told me they would return it that same day, which they never did. Now their phones are disconnected and apparently they moved their company. I do not have any idea as to where they went.

I used these folks to move from Boston to Chicago and it has been the worst experience of my life. First of all they never sent anyone to do an inventory and even though I called them several times before the move, they never asked me to provide one either. As a result, the cost was almost 3 TIMES the estimate. The account rep was never available when I called and I ended up being shuffled around and ignored. Packing, they didn't have enough numbers for the boxes and promised to send me a packing list which they never did nor a completed receipt (they took it after I signed it) The delivery was a disaster - almost every major piece of furniture I own is damaged, being broken and significant water damage. I have items missing including dvds and tools. And the apartment damage due to the moving is unbelievable. My estimate of replacement or repair is about $4200. Now, I can't get a completed contract (do you think they are worried I'll sue them??) which is what corporations require for expense reimbursement and I’m simply assuming that they'll never repay the damage reports. USE THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN RISK! You better have plenty of cash money because you'll need it.

Straight Delivery Moving and Storage did a fantastic job at moving my family and me to our new home in Bound brook, NJ from Hartford, CT and I wanted to just comment on their work. The three movers they sent me were very reliable and professional. The movers were kind enough to help me pack up my things and loaded everything onto the truck luckily all of our furniture was able to fit back out the door. None of the furniture was damaged because the movers covered everything in either blankets or in shrink wrap. I just want to thank Straight Delivery Moving and Storage and their movers.

This may not be an actual moving company. They didn't show up 3 separate times over 2 days. It has been one month and they did not refund security deposit, despite 'manager' saying he was doing it 'right now' as I talked to him. Had to call credit card company and dispute the charge. Frauds if you ask me. Definitely no shows though so if you really want to move go with a reputable moving company.

Straight Delivery Moving provide a free on-site estimate. Our movers are experienced and skilled packers, providing expert packing and crating. We will move pianos, antiques, fine art, cars, boats, pool tables, and bulky items.

Local moves are charged on an hourly basis plus, travel time. The hourly rate includes the truck moving team, and basic packing materials. Straight Delivery also provides additional optional materials and packing services.

• Movers charge for labor, trucks, travel time and material.
• Labor: You pay an hourly rate for each member of the moving crew, clocked from the time they reach the job until they finish at your new address. An additional charge may be applied for multiple stops.
• Trucks: A truck is also charged by the hour. Keep in mind that you need a truck designed to move household goods, not to move freight.
• Travel time: This charge covers the mover's cost for traveling from the pickup location to the destination, and returning to his facilities from the destination after the move is complete.
• Materials: This is the cost of boxes, tape and other optional packing materials provided by the mover during the move. 1st Choice provides FREE padded blankets and shrink wrap with every move to ensure the safety of your goods.
• Packing: This is an hourly or per item rate that is charged to provide optional full or partial packing services.
