We moved KU’s museums--over 4 million specimens in 4 years--without
a scratch!
Our staff is personable, carefully trained, and made up of people you will
feel comfortable with in your home or office.
We’re fifteen years old, with over 4,500 moves to our credit.
We’re straightforward:
- Our contract (The list of items to be moved and the moving tips sheet)
is extremely simple, short and easy-to-read.
- Our insurance covers you at actual value, unlike the industry standard
of 60 cents a pound.
- We don’t have 800 numbers, elevator music or bureaucratic shuffles.
We’re entirely locally owned and operated.
We can move you across town, down the street, or across the United States.
We can pack your goods if you don’t want to or don’t have time.
We can arrange for storage if you’d like.

About Us
How did we get our name?
There are three of us who own Starving Artists Moving. One of us is a published
fiction writer; another is a videographer; the third is a musician. Many of
the people who work for us have a connection to some kind of artistic endeavor
as well. You’ll be pleased with the caliber of people this brings to
your move.
