Sourdough Express, operating facilities in Anchorage and Fairbanks,
is a fourth generation family organization. Established in 1898, it’s
one of the oldest and most distinguished transportation companies in Alaska.

Sourdough Express is a full service moving
and storage company, providing
employee relocation services to government, corporate and residential customers,
local, state or worldwide.
Also encompassing a dependable freight division, Sourdough
Express has serviced
many sectors’ of the Alaska economy since the early 1900’s, hauling
various construction, mining and oilfield related commodities including equipment,
steel products, building supplies, fish, groceries, dry bulk goods, and LTL.

Sourdough has never had the intent of being the largest trucking company in

Household Moves
Whether you are moving within Alaska to or from Alaska or going overseas Sourdough
Express is big enough to handle the job.
To accurately assess your moving requirements, a Sourdough
Express representative
will visit your home to perform a pre-move survey. We will then design a custom
move and packing plan that covers every phase of your relocation. During the
pre-move visit, you can also discuss moving special items such as cars, boats
or any other high value items that may concern you. Your Sourdough
Express representative is fully trained to assist you.
Sourdough Express has a tradition of employing the best professional packers
in the business. Our employees are very much a part of our business success.
All Sourdough employees are courteous, well trained, and professional. Only
the best custom packaging supplies, and containers will be used to ensure a
damage free move. Specially designed corrugated cartons are used for dishes,
china, books, and clothing. For maximum protection of antiques and fragile
items we recommend custom crating. We'll securely wrap each object, cushioning
it to prevent chafing or shifting and then build a custom crate around it.
Sourdough Express will take extra care to protect your fragile and irreplaceable
belongings. Your household goods are carefully packed in special containers
or vans in preparation for transport.
Protection Against Loss or Damage
Sourdough Express's skilled packers and movers take extreme precautions to
prevent loss or damage of your belongings. Should an unexpected claim result,
Sourdough's coverage provides repair or replacement of your goods at today's
market value, regardless of the age of the damaged items. Our trained adjusters
resolve matters quickly and equitably to maintain customer satisfaction and
goodwill. We offer a variety of low-cost protection plans to cover you in the
event of a claim.
