The History of Snow Moving: Snow Worldwide Van Lines is a full-service domestic van line, and an international and corporate relocation specialist. In 2003 Snow helped relocate thousands of families domestically and internationally. Snow Van Lines began in 1967 as Snow Moving & Storage. Founder W.L. Snow bought his first truck to service Fort Worth, Texas. Today, Snow Van Lines has developed into a diversified logistics and transportation management company, we’ll positioned for future growth. Our main office, corporate headquarters, and move center are still located in our original home of Fort Worth, Texas. Snow Van Lines is a motor carrier holding nationwide operating authority granted by the U.S. Department of Transportation USDOT MC # 158889 and statewide authority by the Texas Department of Transportation TXDOT SMC # 005125088C. We provide relocation and move management services to private and public sector organizations and corporations.

We're Moving On!
COUNTDOWN THIRTY DAYS BEFORE...
Determine what you are going to move and start getting rid of everything else.
Start early! Time is wasting away. Decide what you are going to pack yourself and what the movers will pack. The mover is not responsible for breakage of items you pack. Obtain packing cartons from your mover. Wrap china and other breakables you will not be using. Use packing paper and don’t use newspaper.
Notify the post office of your new address. Fill out change of address cards.
Gather medical and dental records for all family members.
Notify schools and arrange to have transcripts and records forwarded to the new schools. Also, keep a copy for your records in the event of an error.
Close local charge accounts and call your credit card companies.
Arrange for the transportation of pets if they do not tolerate long car trips well.
TWO WEEKS BEFORE...
Start packing: Do a little at a time. Do not try to do it all in a day or two.
Return borrowed items and reclaim items borrowed from you.
Arrange disconnect/connect dates with local utilities.
Develop a floor plan to show the movers where you want your belongings placed in your new home. This saves time and makes for a smoother move.
ONE WEEK BEFORE...
Dispose of all flammable materials. They should not be moved.
Dismantle outdoor play or gym equipment and other items that go on the van.
Transfer bank accounts and contents of safe deposit box. Order new checks.
Pack items you want to move yourself and mark: "Do Not Move" on the boxes.
ONE DAY BEFORE...
Empty and defrost your refrigerator and freezer; let the appliances air out for 24 hours. Clean oven and throw away all items that will not keep in an ice chest.
Finish packing personal items and prepare a “Survival Kit” for your move.
Get a good night's sleep and let Snow handle the rest.
MOVING DAY…
Strip beds, but leave bottom sheets on mattresses.
You and/or your spouse need to be present to answer movers' questions.
Accompany movers through the house for an inventory of things to be moved.
Keep children and pets out of movers' way.
Confirm destination address with van driver. Also, confirm time and date of delivery.
Double check inventory with your driver and note any omissions/errors.
Close all windows and turn out all lights.
Lock all doors. Check to make sure you have all the items you want to carry.
