Rocky Mountain Movers originated in 1979 as a locally owned piano moving company. Over the years, we have grown into a full service moving company moving everything from pianos and single items to entire homes and offices.
Rocky Mountain Movers is still owned and operated by its original owners who are dedicated to serving the needs of their customers. We understand that each move is unique, and our goal is to provide moving services that are tailored to each individual circumstance. Estimates
Within the Intermountain Western states, Rocky Mountain Movers wants to help you make your move as rewarding and stress-free as possible. Of course, no two moves are exactly the same, therefore, you can fill out our free estimate form in order for us to make a thorough assessment of your individual moving needs, and give you a comprehensive and accurate cost estimate. We will call you within 2 business days to discuss your estimate.

Rocky Mountain Movers' equipment is meticulously maintained and operated by highly skilled professionals. Our modern, fully equipped trucks are specifically designed to help reduce the chance of goods being damaged in transit. We have a large fleet of clean, fully-equipped moving vans, trained and courteous personnel, and a reputation for quality in our industry.
Licensed & Insured
Rocky Mountain Movers is a fully licensed and insured moving company. Our insurance coverage spans from the starting point of your move to the final destination. A client representative will help you decide on the amount of protection you will need and explain the price structure for each plan.
Full Service Moving
From small apartments to large homes and offices, Rocky Mountain Movers provides quality and timely moving services. We offer packing, loading, unloading and unpacking, whatever you need to get relocated. While we specialize in moving locally, we also provide the same quality services for moving within the 11 western states.
Commercial Moving
Rocky Mountain Movers are highly recommended commercial movers. From the large corporate office to the small personal office, we can accommodate your moving needs. We have experience moving in and out of the majority of commercial buildings. We encourage a free on site estimate for all commercial moves to help you, and us, be prepared for your relocation.
Packing & Crating
Rocky Mountain Movers can provide packing labor to pack your entire shipment or we can pack only certain items or specific rooms. We are skilled at packing china and crystal, or books and toys, depending upon your needs. If you prefer to pack your own shipment, we can provide you with moving boxes at a reasonable cost. Some special items may need to be crated to insure their safety during your move. This service can be arranged through us for a minimal crating fee.
Pad Wrapping
Rocky Mountain Movers wraps all of your items securely in clean protective pads to prevent scratches and other incidental damage before they are moved. Special attention is dedicated in moving some of your extra fragile and delicate items, upon your request.
Storage
Rocky Mountain Movers offers storage ranging from one day to long term. Our storage is reasonably priced and is customized to meet your needs for a few items to an entire shipment. We also provide piano storage for a minimal monthly fee.
On Site Moving
For those customers who need help moving items within their homes or offices whether it’s for remodeling reasons, new carpet, or just re-arranging, we can provide you with strong and helpful movers to accomplish your tasks.
Single Item Moving
Do you have just one item that you need moved? Rocky Mountain Movers provides a service to move just one item at a reasonable fee. After all, no move is too small or too large for us.
Piano & Organ Moving
From spinet and console pianos to 9’ grand pianos and organ, Rocky Mountain Movers is experienced and knowledgeable on how to move your piano safely. We specialize in moving pianos individually or as part of an entire household shipment. Our piano moving motto is " We move the pianos the other companies can’t" and we live up to that claim.
Loading & Unloading
Some customers prefer to rent a truck and drive themselves to move their shipment and just need help loading or unloading their items. Rocky Mountain Movers provides the same quality labor to perform this task as it does for a full-service move. Ask us about our hourly charge for this service.
Rocky Mountain knows that moving locally can be just as exciting and yet, as stressful as moving to another state. We service both residential and commercial moves. Our goal is to help you best understand how local moving is done. As Utah’s most recommended local mover, we want to help you know how moving charges are determined. Our rate is based upon the number of movers and the number of trucks required for the job and then that is
charged upon an hourly rate. Materials such as boxes, tape etc. are charged for based upon usage.
From providing you with an accurate moving estimate so that there are no surprises on your moving day to following through with you to the end of your completed move are all free services and will insure an overall successful move. We want to provide you with quality moving services at an affordable price. Whether your moving needs are for a full service move or a single item move, we can give you a fair quote. Rocky Mountain Movers, an independent moving company, is here to help you through the moving process. While long distance moving involves a little more preparation than local moving, it is still possible to move from state to state with minimal stress.
Our focus is moving within the Intermountain West serving all 8 western states including Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming and, of course, Utah. We also offer 2-3 days moves to Southern Utah. Also, ask about our "express" service so that you can receive your goods at destination within 1-2 days after they are loaded.
