I was very happy with the way the movers handled everything and the office was very considerate and friendly to deal with. I would like to recommend this company. |

| My brother was moving his business from California to Seattle. At first we were pretty worried about whom we were dealing with because there are some horror stories out there, but R1 moving systems and storage guys were trustworthy and the service was great. The moving guys made sure nothing they were moving was damaged; everything was delivered earlier than expected. |

| Do not use R1 Moving and Storage, also known as All United Moving, as well as, Win Line Moving. They were indeed the quickest at responding with a quote of $85 per hour with a minimum of 4 hour service. The guy on the phone "Andy" said that with a two boxes for the dishes the quote total should be about $410 dollars. And since we're only moving about 3 miles away we thought that was a resonable price. On the day of the move, the movers used tape, shrink wraps, boxes, bubble wraps, and blankets. The guy didn't say anything about additional cost for the boxes, he just said its corporate policy that we have to use boxes. So we went along with whatever their policy is. Then they moved our stuff over to the new place and before they unload they asked us to pay upfront in cash. Mind you it's a Sunday and the banks are closed on Sunday. Then the guy gave us a total of 1477 which is completely different from what was quoted to us on the phone. I'm furious by now because no one informed me there were additional cost otherwise I would've went with a different company. We ended up only paying partial because there's a limit as to how much you can withdrawl from the bank. So we can customer service to dispute the charges and we were only connected to a voicemail. No one has yet to call us back. The company should quote appropriately and communicate the appropriate charges before scheduling a move. |

| I recently moved to California to Mississippi. I stored all my items with R1 Moving and Storage. They stored all my stuff for 10 days and then moved all my stuff to my place very carefully. They also didn’t break any items. They charged me very reasonably they didn't charge extra money for anything. I would like to thank R1 Moving and Storage! |

| R1 moving and storage company was amazing. I
moved from a one bedroom apartment with two flights of stairs
to another one bedroom apt. about 2 hour away.
Even with the two hour drive, they were finished in an 4 hours .
I received two movers who were very friendly and moved exceptionally fast.
They knew that I was hoping to get the move done in less than one day
so that I could pay the minimum payment and they were extra quick to
make sure that happened. Not a single item was damaged,
hey had padding in their truck to make sure my items arrived in
good timing and they were even quite willing to help me set up
my king size bed. This moving company is excellent and
I would highly recommend them to anyone moving and will be s
ure to use them again next time. |

| In Nov of 2007 I moved from California to Washington State I hired R1 Moving and Storage. Not at any point did they even contact me to try to find my items or anything .I called them for months and no one would talk to me. They said there employees stole everything and there’s nothing they can do so I should not bother them anymore. They only had my stuff 48 hours. They charged me $400 to pack the TVs and stole them, then showed up at my Washington home with what was left of my stuff, and tried to charge me another $400 for weight of the truck; of course they have no weight papers. $20,000+ of missing items, yet they felt they could try to charge me another $400 for the weight. |

| August 18, 08, I searched the internet to help me find a moving company. We had to move short notice to Arizona from California. When I contacted this company, they told me "WE WILL GUARANTY TO TAKE ALL THE STRESS OF MOVING AWAY" It was exactly what we wanted to hear. I found All United, not the best price but seemingly the most responsive since they answered my e-mail within 5 minutes! They quoted me $3,780.00 flat rate to Arizona. I explained we didn’t know how to estimate how many trucks we needed since they only use 26 foot vans. (1st clue, not what the website shows) The sales lady told me again, don't worry; we will send an estimator to your house. When I agreed to a time for the estimator to show up, He never came. I took the day off work for this and he didn’t show (2nd clue). Then when the van comes un-announced three days later, I had to rush home from work to supervise the move. (3rd Clue)The driver of the van says to me..."you have too much for one van, we need to charge double the rate for another truck to come. (4th Clue) I was livid! I told him that's what the estimator was for. They had me over the barrel, another $3,780.00. I needed to be at my new job in Arizona in two days. After all the packing was finished, I was told I had to pay another $5,782.00. Now the total was over $10,000.00. After the fuel surcharges the move cost approximately $12,000.00 to move a distance of one state. Now we are in Arizona, and I am fighting to have all my personal items delivered. They do not return my calls unless I threaten to call the Police. Finally, we got back that our truck was in Arizona but, it came in a yellow freight van with no lift gate and packaged without any care. Guess what? ONLY HALF OUR PROPERTY! |

R1 Moving & Storage has held my furniture hostage for 2 years while they
tried to get me to pay over $5000 in non-negotiated, non-contractual "fees".
My contract with them had a "not to exceed price" of $1,385.44. They
are now threatening to sell my furniture at auction unless I pay them the ransom.

First and foremost I thank 123movers.com in providing me with various options.
R1 moving was the first one to bid for my move. And all the others were at
least 4 hours later.
I went ahead and requested them to send an onsite estimator and when he came
to my house I explained everything and told him my budget, then he gave me
a not to exceed price.
On the day of the move the movers came on time, were all in their uniform
and a truck with their logo on it (Which I was very particular about). The
foreman's communication with me was great as I could do other things during
the move. They packed my piano exactly the way it came when I bought it (surprised!!!).
I had a lot of antique stuff which I was worried about, but they were professional
and took care of it very well by packing them. The crew especially Salvador
and Oscar were great in the way they packed and proved to be very efficient.
When I selected this company they had a lot of bad reviews about them but
when I asked about that they just told me that it was because they never had
a onsite estimator before. And Jeff convinced me to go ahead with the move,
which fortunately I did.
It was one of my best experiences and I would recommend them to my family and
friends. For sure will use them in my future moves.
Thank you R1 moving for giving me a great moving experience!!!!! |

I found this guys on the internet. They are the worst. They cheated the scales by 2400lbs (I have the proof). They were forced to refund me $1200. They also missed the pick up date and took 50 plus days to delivery my household goods. Run away from these guys as fast as you can! |

I had a very bad moving experience with this company. I didn't hire them but a moving broker hired them. They over charged, didn't use the packing material I was charged for, broke my furniture, didn't pay the insurance claim for the damage and didn't refund me money for the over charge. I hired World Moving and they hired these people. I would be more careful in the future. |

This is a message for Sherri, Sherri this is John Stapleton, you've left me
a few messages over the course of the past couple of weeks. I want to thank
you for reaching out to me regarding my move. I never received a quote from
you folks, so I hope this reaches you.
It looks like I will not be moving until the spring of 2008 as I was never
able to find an apartment to my liking in San Francisco and I am now forced
to re-sign a new lease, but I am doing a short term (6 month lease) so I will
be moving in May instead.
I will try contacting you folks then, early May, if I can remember your name!
Haha.
Thanks again for being so responsive . . . I feel terrible that you've been
leaving me messages that have gone unanswered.

R1 is the most unprofessional company of any type that I've ever worked with. They showed up 10 hours late to pack and move and then after losing 3 boxes, failed to return my phone calls or emails. Each time I call yet another person is "in charge". Absolutely ridiculous. You should remove their services from your site. |

I find the above comments about R1 and what their focus is and how important customers are to them to be quite the opposite. I gave them a deposit and scheduled a move. They never showed but were good at making excuses and lies. I am still fighting to get my deposit back and my move ended up costing me a lot more than I had to spend. In addition to that, the people who were scheduled to move into my old house were also delayed costing them money as well. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. Use R1 moving at your own risk and please consider this as nothing more than a warning. |

Funny how I have written two bad reviews about this company and nothing has been posted. Hmmmm makes you wonder.
R-1 still owes me for the hole the drivers put in my wall. R-1 movers are cheats and need to be stopped - word of mouth says it all, and I have told so many friends how you ripped me off!

So, I set up an appointment with R1 to move my items from a house into an apartment. They quoted me with a great price and even kept the fees for my third story apartment very low. And 2 days before I move, they call to confirm my information which was very nice. And not even an hour later, they call to cancel because they apparently do not deliver on Saturdays. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I was lucky to have a different company lined up to take my stuff for me. |

I was severely overcharged by R-1 moving. My quote on the phone was 480.00 and in the end I paid 2600. The drivers were late, talked on their cell phones most of the day, ate my food, and had the nerve to ask for a tip in the end. I do not recommend this company unless you don't mind crappy service and paying way too much. |

| I've moved 6 times in the last 7 years and the service and price of R1 is second-to-none. They showed up on-time and came in WAY under budget. I have been singing their praises to everyone I know. As long as I live in the Bay Area, I will forever and only use R1 for my moves. |

Posted by: Richard Shen - 05/03/2007 Subject: R1 moving & storage should be the first one to consider...
| |
Due to my wife moving back from California to New Jersey, I selected R1 Moving & Storage in San Jose for the shipment. There are two items I worried most to be damaged, 32” flat screen TV and a glass table lamp. The sales person’s estimated for packing these two things was about $20 - $50.
The movers came wrapped the TV and loaded my items into the truck. They gave the bill of $200 for the wrapping TV alone. It was not as I expected. I refused the amount. After long time “negotiation”, I paid $100 for TV wrapping.
The worst thing was when the shipment arrived; everything was there except the TV and lamp. This is not a simple case of missing items. This is ripping off and stealing. Someone did that on purpose.
R1 moving & storage should be the first one to consider NOT to use for the moving. They are not honest. |
