available in the United States. Moving is not a finite business, no two moves
are ever exactly the same. We are not afraid to tell you when your request
is unrealistic but we will always make the effort to meet your specific needs.
There is nothing more important to us than knowing our customers had a pleasant
experience. It doesnt make a difference whether we move an antique across
town, a large home across country or relocate several hundred employees as
part of an office move. The same principles apply. The Orion commitment to
each customer is steadfast.
We have experience moving museum quality pieces, artwork, musical instruments,
and wine collections and can handle almost any special items the move may involve.
We also have service agreements with vendors when crane or hoisting services
are needed. Orion Movers offers experienced moving crews who complete detailed
training sessions conducted by the management staff. Our movers undergo a thorough
training process in the following areas:
- Packing, labeling, wrapping and crating techniques
- Lifting/loading techniques
- Detailed inventory checklists, tagging, and organization
- Random Drug & Alcohol screening as required by DOT
Local: This is defined as any move within the same state. We charge by the
hour for all local moves within 100 miles of DFW; the time starts at your door
and runs until we have completely unloaded, placed and reassembled any furniture
to your satisfaction, any moves outside of that radius will be charged per
our local tariff. Orion Moving & Storage can complete
your local move in as few as our 2 hour minimum to as much as a week depending
on packing requirements, move size, distance and unpacking. We have implemented
a unique incentive system for our move crews based on quality of service and
customer satisfaction. You can trust that our move crews will complete your
relocation as quickly & professionally as possible without sacrificing
the integrity of your belongings.
Inter-state: Is defined as any move crossing state lines; pricing will be
based on weight or volume and will abide by our registered Orion Tariff as
required by the Department of Transportation. This ensures each customer receives
the same rate as any other within their estimated weight bracket. Each truck
will be weighed prior to and after loading every customer. Certified copies
of weight tickets will be available upon request. We will be responsible for
all disassembly, loading, taxes, tolls, mileage, fuel, up to forty days of
in-transit storage from the date of the move and all unloading and reassembly
at destination. Each written estimate will detail & disclose all charges.
Corporate: Orion works closely with human resource and facilities managers
on all corporate relocations. We will provide special attention to each employee
or executive. There are often strict time tables between pickup and delivery
for these types of moves. Orion understands this and will work closely with
your employee(s) to ensure a seamless transition into their new home. We strive
to develop a long term relationship with each company with the goal of earning
repeat business and potential exclusive relocation contracts..
Government & Military Moves: We proudly offer full service packing, moving & storage
needs for individuals, or families, in any branch of the United States military
and/or government agency. Whether your move is temporary duty or a PCS, you
