pianos. If custom crates are needed, our in-house shop will build them at
discount prices.
PRICING - Moving services can be very costly. Regardless of the cost
of your move, it is very important to us that you understand what you are paying
for. In a normal move, the charges will be broken into 4 different components
as follows;
Labor - the labor is the price you are paying for each mover for each hour
that work is being done. The hours are broken into 15 minute increments.
Travel time – On every local move there will be a charge of a one hour
return travel time. Nobel Van Lines do not charge for the time to drive
from our facility to your house.
Packing materials - In order to perform your move in a professional
manner, specific materials are needed to protect your household goods during
handling and transport. We charge only for cardboard boxes used during the
move. We do not charge for padded moving blankets used to protect your furniture,
tape or bubble wrap. These packing supplies are free unless provided to the
customer in advance.
Insurance - Movers are required to "cover" your belongings
at no additional charge "up to 60 cents per pound." This means, if
you have a lamp that weighs ten pounds, you are entitled to no more than $6.00,
regardless of the true value of the piece. Additional valuation must be charged
for, and is determined by the value of your goods. If you wish to be paid depreciated
value for lost or damaged items, you must declare a lump sum value for the
entire shipment, and pay an extra charge.
We refer to long distance as any move that crosses state lines and is over
approximately 75 miles. This type of move is regulated by the U.S. Department
of Transportation. When making a move, it is important to use state and interstate
licensed movers because that will guarantee that the company you choose is
also insured.
When you start shopping for a moving company, you will find an unlimited
number of movers to choose from. You can narrow your selection by checking
performance records with the U.S. Dept. of Transportation or your local Better
Business Bureau.

Lines always uses our own vehicles and full time professional movers and

1 month free storage while in transit, detailed inventory listings of all household
goods, free padding for all furniture. Full service packing is available at

estimates are important and will insure there are no unexpected charges. In
general, interstate moves are priced according to weight or cubic feet. Nobel
Van Lines charges by the cubic foot and the weight. By using this method,
we can guarantee the cost of your move before it has been loaded onto our truck
and provide you with the complete cost of your move to the last penny. Prices
based on weight are usually estimates and can be adjusted after the truck has
been weighed. A generally accepted industry standard equation for comparing
estimates of weight to cubic feet is divide weight by 7 to get cubic feet or
to multiply cubic feet by 7 to get weight. In general, the costs of interstate

Transportation - The Transportation is the price you pay to transport
your goods from point A to point B. As stated, Nobel Van Lines charges
by the cubic foot. The price per cubic foot varies based upon the distance
of the move.
Insurance - Included in your move costs, at no additional charge, is the basic
insurance coverage of $.60 per pound as is required by the U.S. Dept. of Transportation.
You can obtain other types of coverage either through Nobel Van Lines or
your own insurance company.
Packing - Nobel Van Lines does not charge for professional
packing of furniture using blanket padding or disassembly and reassembly upon
delivery of furniture where needed. In addition, we can provide packing services
for all your household contents such as China, Linens, Books, Dishes, Artwork,
etc. The price for this service is based on the number of boxes requiring packing.
