Local moves are those starting and ending within a thirty-mile range. Local moves are generally charged by the hour for the men, vehicles and equipment used. There is a four-hour minimum, one hour of which is a flat travel charge. The clock begins when the workers arrive at your first residence and stops when they place the last piece and provide the last service at the second residence. The hourly charge applies only to the move time. Labor and materials for packing loose items are charged by the carton provided and packed.
Charges for local moves may also be based on the weight of the goods moved. A single factor rate is charged per each 100 pounds moved. Packing services are charged for as outlined above.
Special circumstances may warrant a flat rate, based on neither time nor weight. Management reserves the right to approve flat rate moves.
Intrastate moves are all moves over thirty miles that do not cross state lines. The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles regulates intrastate moves. All charges are published in a tariff on file with the DMV. Packing charges are per carton provided and packed, and transportation charges are based on actualweight picked up and delivered. There can be no deviation from the published tariff on charges.

Storing your household goods with Lynne North American is almost like keeping them with you. We take the same care and consideration you would when handling your goods. Your upholstered pieces are completely wrapped, labeled and placed on their feet, just like in your home. The pieces reside on special racks with nothing touching them. Your furniture is padded and separately stored in enclosed vaults to ensure your items are secure and never mingle with any others. Your household goods and your privacy are protected and safeguarded until you arrange for delivery to your home.
Office moving requires special equipment, special knowledge and efficient, experienced personnel to ensure maximum volume is safely relocated in minimum time. Lynne North American has everything needed to move your office or plant efficiently and effectively.
Our staff will work closely with you to determine your special requirements and establish a comprehensive plan and timetable. Coordination and efficient execution result in a smooth transition to your new facility, whether it is across town, or across the country.
Moves are paid for with cash, certified check, money order or credit card. Credit cards must be approved in advance. Visa and Mastercard accepted.
