Joe Moholland Moving is located in Woodbridge, Virginia about 30 miles south of Washington, DC. We currently have over 140,000 square feet of climate-controlled storage space. Our fleet includes over 75 units, 20 long-distance drivers and we are supported by a corporate fleet of over 2000 drivers.
Joe Moholland Moving has been in business since 1987 serving Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC. In 1998 we became an agent for Mayflower Transit, the most recognized name in the moving industry. We now have the capability to perform relocations all around the world with the same personal touch that we provide our local customers. In 2001, Joe Moholland Moving was given the "Circle of Excellence Award" by Mayflower Transit, recognizing the company in the top 10% of the 500 plus Mayflower agents across the country. We were rated in such categories as estimating accuracy, on-time pickups and deliveries, sales performance and claims ratios.
In 2000, the company was rated by "Washingtonian Magazine" as a top service provider in the Washington DC area.
All of our employees receive classroom instruction by a Certified Mayflower Trainer. All of our employees must receive 30 hours of classroom instruction for each packing and moving class. Along with this, they must all complete 200 hours of on-site training, supervised and approved by certified packers and movers, to qualify for certification. After completing the classroom and on-site training requirements, they must pass a rigorous written certification exam. Upon successful completion of this intensive training, they will become certified Joe Moholland movers and packers.
In addition to the packing and moving classes, we require continuing training classes. Some of these classes include customer service/satisfaction, etiquette training, leadership, and “pride in belonging” training. We feel that these are very important skills and qualities that each employee must possess in order to provide top quality service to all of our customers.
