| We used Golden Van lines based in Sherman Oaks, CA to move from southern California
to southern Washington State. We had never in our lives felt so ripped off.
First they quoted us a price of around 1,500. Then on the day of the move,
after they loaded all the furniture in the moving truck, they tell us, it's
going to cost us 3,000! What are we to do? Have them take everything back out?
So that was that. What was worse was that when we were unpacking in Washington,
we realized they had stolen a few of our items. I had a clear plastic 3 drawer
dresser that I just taped up (don't ever do this), instead of taking everything
out and boxing it. Well, in that dresser, I had 2 ipods and a camera amongst
other things. Well, in Washington, the 2 ipods and the camera were gone. So
we called the company and told them what happened, and they got really angry
with us, and said, "Well,
it's your word against ours." I understand that when you have a business
with lots of employees, it's hard to manage every single one of them. I would
have been happy with an apology, and a promise to try to figure something out...even
if it wouldn't resolve. But they were super defensive and very rude. Moving
itself is very stressful, please find the right movers. |

based in California, also named Golden Van Lines, Inc. THEY ARE NOT AND HAVE
NEVER BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH MY COLORADO BASED COMPANY! THEY ARE A ROUGE MOVER
THAT HAS USED OUR COMPANY NAME AND HAVE CAUSED A GREAT DEAL OF CONFUSION WITH
THE MOVING PUBLIC!

Subject: BEWARE!!!
| | We hired Golden Van Lines, Inc to move our personal belongings from Laguna
Niguel, CA to Chicago,
IL. At first they will promise the client the world and not follow
through with their promise. They lost or "misplaced" 11 out of the
81 items we had shipped with them and definitely do not like returning phone
calls. Beware, beware, beware! They had a C rating with the better business
bureau and now they have an f! I wonder why? Do plenty of research before you
pick the right moving company.
