Fixed Price Moving Systems

This company picked up all of my belongings at my home, supposed to put them in storage in NY and deliver to new home in North Carolina in 3 months. Went out of business, did not notify me and would not tell me where my belongings were. Held belongings hostage until I was notified by a storage company in NC that my things would be auctioned off in 3 days for non payment of storage fees.

My family used Fixed Price Moving to move us across the country from Brooklyn, NY to Round Rock, Texas. This company was deceitful from the very beginning. I was given a FIXED quote of $2740.50 from the representative who came to our home and was then charged over $1000 over the estimate on the day of pick up (after they had loaded all of our belongings on the truck). We were told our things would be delivered no later than July the 9th, 2007. We did not receive anything until August the 2nd. When they finally delivered our belongings we found out that they had lost over 14 boxes. The owner of the moving company has yet to give us any explanation or compensation for our missing (stolen) items. We are now in a legal battle with this terrible company in hopes that this will not happen to anyone else.

Fixed Price Moving Systems helped make my move to NYC from Fairfield, CT as easy as possible. This company really took the time to make sure I knew everything I needed to know before I left for the big city. The movers Fixed Price Moving Systems sent me were courteous and had no problem at all moving my things. The movers were actually able to make a pit stop to my mothers who did not live far from us and pick up our pool table. Fixed Price Moving Systems was a great moving company who was able to work with our move and all our necessities. This company has been my worst nightmare and has made my move HELL!! My move was from New York to Georgia. My shipment was picked up on 07/06/2007, and I have not yet received my things as of yet, 07/25/2007. The people at this place are rude, do not know how to communicate the customers and are not helpful at all with providing me with any type of information regarding my shipment or when I can expect to receive it!! Of course, the representatives were always contacting me when I was in the process of selecting a company for the move, but once they received my payment, no one was willing to provide me with information, they simply gave me the run around and transferred my calls until I got tired of waiting and hung up!! Please do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for a reputable moving company that will get your furniture to you in a timely manner...The saying is "you get what you pay for", and I am experiencing it first hand!!!
