HOW DO I PREPARE MY VEHICLE?
Please have a minimal amount of fuel in your tank. A quarter tank or less is sufficient. You must remove any loose parts. For example, shells or bed liners that are not bolted down may blow off. Phone, radio, and CB antennas that do not retract, MUST be removed, or they may get broken. If you are shipping your vehicle to Alaska, or Hawaii, you will be charged an additional de-gassing fee if your vehicle has more than a quarter tank of gas.
WHAT IS A BILL OF LADING AND CONDITION REPORT?
The Bill of Lading (or Freight Bill) is the contract of transport between you, the shipper and the Carrier. The report provides pick-up and delivery information, current mileage, and the condition of the car (aka Condition Report). If you are not available to release the vehicle, you may designate someone to act as your agent. After both you and the driver have signed the Bill of Lading, you should receive a copy of the report. The same document is presented at time of delivery of the vehicle.
