| | Read the review below! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! After repeated assurances that the company will get back to me when they have traced the location of my furniture (packed up last July), I have yet to hear from them. | Company Response | | | Posted by: Donna Smith - 10/16/2009 Subject: Hurricane Katrina hit this time by moving company

| | I hired Dixon Van Lines July 17,09. I treied to contact them many times via email and phone with one responds, It's been three months tomorrow and I have not yet recieved my property or even a phone call as to where it may be. I went to the address on invoice to find that it is a UPS store that never heard of Dixon Van lines. I saved some items from Hurricane Katrina that I could never get back again. Things I can't even purschase in a store. I've filed report with the police and the court thats in pending stage. If anyone have any information please contact me at 504-830-6453 Thanks in advance | Company Response | | | Posted by: Claudio Adams - 10/06/2009 Subject: Have yet to receive my belongings

| | We hired Dixon Van lines to move us out of Atlanta on August 7, 2009. We paid them $150 deposit to secure the service. As part of our contract negotiations, Dixon Van lines agreed to provide us with all the boxes we would need for packing. They agreed to deliver the boxes by Monday August 3rd. We called to verify what time the boxes would be delivered around 11:30am, but there was no answer at the office and we received no call back. We tried several more times to contact them during the day and left numerous messages about why we were calling. Finally around 5:30pm we made a final call and left another message to cancel them as our movers. This cancellation was well within the 48 hour time frame in order for us to get our deposit back. Tuesday around 1:30pm, a gentleman from their office showed up to deliver our boxes. We told him we had alreay hired another company, and informed him of the multiple phone calls and messages to his office the day before. We also asked him to please have someone from the office call us so that we could arrange for the return of the deposit. Since that time, we have left multiple phone messages as well as email messages to Chris Shea. He did respond to 2 of the email messages stating he would resolve this issue and contact us by phone when it was taken care of. To this day, the deposit has not been refunded and no one has contacted us over the phone. At this point, all we are asking for is for our deposit to be returned to us. | Company Response | | | Posted by: Bridgette - 01/07/2009 Subject: Terrible

| | Dixon Van Lines is a moving company that moved our furniture to our new home on 12-20-08. First off, the movers were supposed to be there at 9:00 a.m. and did not arrive until 11:30 a.m. When they got our furniture to our new home two of the three movers created at least 15 scuffs, holes and marks on our freshly painted walls. Dixon Van Lines charged my credit card for eight hours but it only took them seven. I tried contacting them for two weeks straight and I could not get a sound response from anyone. I finally talked to the GM on 12-01-02-09 and he told me I would be getting a call the following week from someone who was suppose to repair my walls and I would be receiving my refund for the unused hours on Monday 01-05-09, which did not happen. Long story short, I could not get a straight answer from anyone, they hardly ever answered their phone, my Mother and I went to the address listed on my contract only to find it was a UPS store and they had never heard of Dixon Van Lines. My walls were never repaired, the GM hung up on me on 01-07-09 when I was trying to ask him why I had been given the run around, I still do not have my refund back from them...I would not recommend anyone to use Dixon Van Lines, they are terrible!!! | Company Response | | | Posted by: Josh - 11/07/2008 Subject: Dixon is an honest company
| | I had a buddy of mine who moved with Dixon Van Lines and he said they did a great job on his move. My move was a bit different, crossing state lines from Atlanta, Georgia to Columbia, South Carolina. I was a little worried that I would get hit with a lot of charges when they came to Atlanta but I didn’t. The movers did a nice job wrapping my things and the final cost was right on point with their original estimate. | Company Response |
