| | I have been trying to get Direct Moving to compensate me for my broken antique dining table, broken baby grand piano and two (of 6) missing slip-covered dining chairs since April, to no avail. I was first made to deal with their "mediator", some guy who runs a company (or front) out of Florida, and as of 3 weeks ago, this guy says that I have to deal directly with Direct Moving as "their account is suspended,” (Whatever that means). In the meantime, my daily calls to Direct Moving go to an answering service. I am extremely disappointed that Direct Moving's contract requires all claims to go to this negotiation/mediator only to have the mediator get out of it by saying Direct Moving is "suspended". | | We were quoted a "low price" and added a bedroom set and a few more items. The "upcharge" was more than double. When I questioned the price he said we had 60 boxes instead of 25. We should have counted the boxes because we had maybe 30 to 35 not 60! Also, he was very unprofessional, and did not wrap most of the furniture correctly. Some nice furniture was not even wrapped. Very unhappy!! Most pieces were damaged including new mattress. | | Company Response |
