Coutu Bros Movers are probably the best piano movers that I’ve ever used. I have to move pianos on a regular basis in my business and it was the first time I used Coutu Bros Movers. I moved a baby grand piano from Providence to Westerly, Rhode Island and it was a smooth transition. I honestly did not worry about the instrument getting damaged because they had tools that I’ve actually never seen. It was quite a site.

1. Don’t overpack boxes. A good rule of thumb is “the heavier the item, the smaller the box”.
2. Start packing items you do not need in advance
3. Important legal documents, valuables, and family medical records should be transported by you
4. Do not mix items from different rooms in the same box
5. Label boxes on top and sides. Be detailed!!
6. Pack an essential box – of that you will need immediately at your new home and have it packed in a box
   and loaded last on the truck, so they’ll be available, promptly at your new home.
7. Lampshades should not be packed with newspaper, as the ink can permanently stain the item
8. Boxes must always be taped rather than interlocking the ends together.
