Advantage Moving and Storage

A $240 dollar move turned into an $870 move to move 5 MILES. 2 years ago it only cost me $1,300 to move from Detroit to Atlanta. Recap of the day of March 20th, 2008

1. They did arrive on time (the only positive)
2. They brought the wrong size truck so my house had to be moved in three loads not one.
3. Was quoted $240 for 3.5 hours, I paid $870 for 9 hour move.
4. Last 3 hours I had to physically help the movers move to make a 5:30 deadline to sign on my house.
5. At my new home they ran over my flower bed and destroyed lights going down driveway & bricks in flower bed.
6. After the move that I had to help move the driver said he wanted a $50 tip per mover.
7. I have left 5 voicemails for the owner who has never called back.
8. I asked for my flower bed to be replaced-Nothing.
9. I asked for a partial refund. No answer and get this. You have to pay in CASH. I had to give them $770 in cash plus my $100 deposit. Because this company knows you would reverse the charges on a credit card.
10. I have reported this company to the better business bureau.
