I hired this company to move my one bedroom apartment 20 miles, the quote was for 2 men and a truck for three hours and one hour drive time at $70 an hour, totaling $280. They showed up with four men and tried to insist I pay for four which I refused, that was the first sign that they were dishonest. They insisted on repacking many of my items since they said my boxed were not legal under moving regulations, they where to big or to small and therefore their insurance company would not insure them, no cost was discussed regarding them repacking my items which they had to do for they regulations and insurance. At the end of the move with all my items on their truck they presented me a bill for $4,000. I refused to pay and insisted they give me a detailed list of how they got to $4,000. They had charged me up to $62 per box they repacked and added many fees. They said they worked 8 hours and it had only been 5, they billed me for three movers instead of two, and they added in a tip of $650 for the movers, they said they used 76 of their boxes and a crate, I counted 56 boxes and no crates. When I refused to pay for the services and materials that I did not authorize, or ask for, they got angry and said they would impound my items until I paid. There was no miscommunication or misunderstanding about my move or the services I wanted done, they simply are con-artists, extortionist and “Bandits“ using illegal bait and switch tactics. I have since done several detailed searches on the internet about this company and found that they use up to ten different names and I found that my experience was not the exception but their normal business practice as many others report the exact situation with this moving company or from one of their many aliases. The Manger Ron, the Sales Person Jack and the Lead Mover Mike were all regularly mentioned in the complaints I found. In short, they performed and charged me for services I did not ask for, they charged me for hours they did not work, and they charged me for boxes and materials I did not ask for and they did not use.
