Let’s talk about TVs
What kid doesn't like TV? None! So make sure you have one in your children’s
playroom. The truth of the matter is, a TV is a TV. Whether you buy a 60 inch
plasma or a 27 inch projection TV, your kids will probably be happy as long as
you have a TV in the room. If you want to get funky, then there is one other
option: Hannspree, the creators of amazing creative TVs. They offer many
different designs such as TVs shaped like a basketball, an apple, a fire
engine, the Bat signal, Bugs Bunny, a flower, and so many more. Even though
your kids will still be watching the same things, they’ll be doing it in style.
Let’s talk about entertainment
So you took care of the seats, you took care of the TV, now it's time to take
care of the really fun stuff. Every playroom needs some fun games. The hard part
about this is that different aged children will like different games. Here’s
how you should do it:
3-5 years old:
At this age there are several options to
consider, but don’t think the list ends here. This is just brushing the
surface:
-
Large stuffed animals
-
Wagons
-
Building blocks
-
Magnetic toys
-
Figurines and action figures
-
Toy cars and trucks
-
Inflatable toys
-
Dolls
-
Train set
6-8: At this age you children are looking for something a
little more sophisticated, especially the boys:
-
Mini basketball hoop
-
Small bike
-
Spring horse
-
Action figures
-
Robotic toys
-
Mini piano
-
Video games
9-12: At this age you children don’t play with toys as much as
they used to. Here’s an idea of some things they might be interested in:
-
Jr. drum set
-
Air hockey/pool table/foosball table in one
-
Pogo stick
-
Video games
-
Computer
-
Mini pinball machine
After 12, your kids probably won’t be interested in a playroom anymore. Instead,
they’re out playing sports, hanging out with their friends, or watching TV. So
let’s just cap off the playroom at age 12.
It looks like your set to create a great place for your kids to unwind and have
a good time. This playroom will help them settle in to their new home and their
new neighborhood.
